There are 2 different factors for a result:
Type of liquid
Type of table
But if you poured water on a solid marble table, the water would spread out due to its loose molecules and the solid form of the table.

The water would just spread out on the table mainly because of van der waal forces, but it would stop eventually because of surface tensile forces.
