How much heat is absorbed by a 37g iron skillet when its temperature rises from 8oC to 24oC?

 Given,

The specific heat capacity (c) of iron skillet is 0.449 J/ g °C.
Mass of iron skillet, m = 37 g
Temperature difference, T = (240-80)°C
                                      =160 °C

Now using formula,

Heat (Q)=  c * m * T
              = 0.449 J/ g °C * 37 g *  160°C
             = 2658 J

hence heat absorbed by 37g iron skillet when temperature rises form 80 to 240 degree Celsius is 2658 Joules.
