Distribute the -2 on the left and the -3 on the right:

[tex]-4t-6=-4-3t-12[/tex]

Clean up the right side by combining the constants:

[tex]-4t-6=-16-3t [/tex]

Add 4t to both sides to eliminate -4t on the left:

[tex]-6=-16+t[/tex]

Finally, add 16 to both sides to isolate the t on the right:

[tex]10=t[/tex]

That's the solution: [tex]t=10[/tex]
