The mechanical advantage is defined as the ratio between the load (output force) and the effort (input force):
[tex]MA = \frac{L}{E} [/tex]
for the ramp in our problem, the output force is 300 N, while the input force is 100 N, so the mechanical advantage of the ramp is:
[tex]MA= \frac{300 N}{100 N}=3 [/tex]
