The answer is electromagnetic forces. They can be produced by electromagnetic fields, electrostatic field, and magnetostatic field. This force affects everything in the universe because it has an infinite range just like gravity. The electromagnetic force is also a result of intermolecular forces between individual atoms and molecules in matter.
