I used an online converter to get the answer but it's 52,910.94 ounces. 

We can use unitary method here.

First let us use the basic conversion from tons to ounces.

1 ton =32000 ounces

Now we have to find how many ounces are there in 1.5 tons.

Weight of hippopotamus in tons =1.5 tons
