Marlene owes a total of $20,710.75 in taxes.

If we are using the same tax schedule then $95,000 belongs to this bracket:
Over -        But not over -                                             of the excess over -
$77,100     but not over $160,850.. 15,698.75 plus 28%            77,100

Get the 28% of the difference between $95,000 and $77,100:
$95,000 - $77,100 = $17,900
$17,900 * .28 = $5,012

$15,698.75 + $5,012 = $20,710.75
