x-3y= 1
4x+5y=4
set an x equation or vise versa
x=3y+1 ( now plug in the x equation to the other equation)
4 ( 3y+1) +5y = 4
12y + 4 + 5y =4
17y= 0
y=0
Now solve for x by plugging in the y value
4x + 5 (0) =4
4x=4
x=1
