Economies what meant wealth among the Plains Indians? How did they get it

For  the plains indians, wealth was mostly based around horses. They valued someone's wealth around how many horses the person had. That's why great tribes had many of them as can be seen in movies where the Indians ride and attack and similar things. They got them by capturing them from others, or by helping white people with something, or similar.
