B) Not work since decrease in temperature wouldnt cause evaporation or reverse in cycle.

Hey there!
The first step of the cycle is evaporation, where heat from the sun heats water into water vapor and it condenses. If there's no heat, there's no cycle- so no sun, no cycle.
