Parenting goals generally comprise three categories and these includes the survival goal, the economic goal and the cultural goals. This is according to Anthropologist Robert LeVine. Survival goal ensures that their children survive, by providing for their health and safety. Economic goal ensures that their children acquire the skills and other resources needed to be economically productive adults. And, cultural goal ensures that their children acquire the basic cultural values of the group.
