First we divide the price of the basketball by 100 to get 1% of the price: $0.2299
Next we subtract the price of the basketball from the price after tax: $1.11
Lastly, we divide 1.11 by the 1% of the price: Approximately 4.828%.
The tax rate is about 4.828%, hope this helps!
