Answer:

The jaguar is a wild cat species, native to America. In jaguars the parents separate after mating, and females alone provides parenting to the young ones. Female gives birth to upto four cubs, and commonly two. The mother usually prevent the presence of males after the birth of cubs, due to the risk of infanticide. Therefore, the life of cubs is in danger from their own father and other males in the jaguar population. Hence, jaguar cubs exhibit low survival rates.
