The perimeter is solved by using the formula:

P = 2 l + 2 w

where l is the length of one side = 15 inches, and w is width of one side = 1 ¾ ft = 21 inches

P = 2 (15 inches) + 2 (21 inches)

P = 72 inches

We know that there are 36 inches in 1 yard therefore:

P = 72 inches * (1 yard / 36 inches)

P = 2 yards
