The USA occupied: Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras, Haiti, etc. The United States did this during several occasions during late 19th century and early 20th century. The USA was mostly interested in Panama and they gave Panama the military armament and support to fully gain independence in 1903.
