The function y=2x+4 has a domain of 2,3,5,7, and 8.
What number is not in the range of the function?

The answer is 12 because:
2(2)+4= 8
2(3)+4=10
2(5)+4=14
2(7)+4=18
2(8)+4=20
But no numbers in the domain will give you 12 as a value of y
