During the course of a year, the price of a boat decreased from $300,000 to $240,000. What was the percent decreased in price?

Find how much the cost changed: 300,000-240,000=60,000. Divide the different by the original cost: 60,000/300,000=.2. Move the decimal two places to the right to make a percent: 20%. :)
