2x^2+8x-7=-2
2x^2+8x - 5 = 0

using the formula:- x = [-8 +/- sqrt(8^2 - 4*2*-5) ]  / 4
                                  =  -2 +/- sqrt 104)/2
                                  = 0.5495 ,   -4.549
