Lennox informs Macbeth that a group of messengers had come to inform him that Macduff had fled to England. Macabeth is confused at Lennoxes initial response and seems to be caught in thought about the prophecy given to him by the witches. this scene shows a great example of the internal conflicts that plague Macbeth and that William Shakespeare does such a masterful job of eliciting.
