First we can find the area of the cylinder by finding the area of the circular cross-section and then multiplying that by the height. π × 2^2 = 12.57. 12.57 × 12 = 150.8 = volume of the cylinder. The volume of a cone is (π × r^2 × height)/3. 12.57 × 5 = 62.85, and 62.85 ÷ 3 = 20.95. Finally, you need to add up the two values and get 20.95 + 150.8 = 171.75cm^3. I hope this helps!
