The sum of the two expressions is given as:

[tex](8x+10y)+(-4x-3y)[/tex]

Expanding the parentheses using the symbols:

[tex]8x+10y-4x-3y[/tex]

Collecting like terms,

[tex]8x-4x+10y-3y[/tex]

Simplifying:

[tex]4x+7y[/tex]
