Simplify the following expression completely using distribution and combining like terms

3 (2a - 3) - 6

= 6a - 9 - 6

= 6a - 15.

There are no more like terms, so 6a - 15 is the correct answer.

Distribution means multiply what’s outside the parenthesis by each term inside the parentheses.
