The telephone, because thanks to the telephone we as humans have been able to communicate with each other quickly. Its never been easier to communicate than it is now because if there is some sort of emergency you automatically can talk to others. Imagine how romeo and juliet would have ended if Romeo just got sent a text that Juliet was still alive instead of waiting for a letter that took ages to get to him.
