To find the value of p(2) we simply substitute x = 2.

That is; wherever you see x, simply put 2

P(2)  =  2 [tex](2)^{4}[/tex]   -  [tex](2)^{2}[/tex]   +  3(2)  - 1

         =2(16) -  4  + 6 - 1

        = 32  - 4 + 6 -1

        =28 + 6 -1

         =34 - 1

         =33

Therefore the value of  P(2) is 33
