Answer: Rutherford's model of the atom, contains a positively charged nucleus and has negative electrons throughout the outside, also showing the atom has mostly empty space. Thomson's model has a mixture of electrons and protons mingling together, taking up a large amount of space, without a nucleus of any kind.
