y = x^2 - 2x + 4 . . . (1)
8x + y = 20
y = 20 - 8x . . . (2)
Equating (1) and (2), x^2 - 2x + 4 = 20 - 8x
x^2 - 2x + 8x + 4 - 20 = 0
x^2 + 6x - 20 = 0
x = 2.39 or x = -8.39
y = 0.88 or y = 87.12
