where:

Vf = final velocity = 0

Vi = initial velocity = 100 [km/h]

t = time = 3 [min] = 180 [s]

Now we need to convert the velocity from [km/h] to [m/s]

[tex]100[\frac{km}{h} ]*1000[\frac{m}{1km} ]*1[\frac{h}{3600s} ]=27.77[\frac{m}{s} ][/tex]

0 = 27.77 - (a*180)
