Write the equation of a line that passes through the point(-8,9) and has a slope of -3/2

Answer:

y = ax +b

slope = -3/2=> a =-3/2

This line passes (-8,9) => (-3/2)*(-8) +b =9 => 12 +b =9 => b = -3

=> y =(-3/2)*x-3
