Solution:

Given AB = 5

To find the length of AC:

The given triangle is a right triangle.

So we can use trigonometric formula.

[tex]$\sin \theta=\frac{\text { Opposite }}{\text { Hypotenuse }}[/tex]

[tex]$\Rightarrow \sin B=\frac{A C}{AB }[/tex]

[tex]$\Rightarrow \sin 35^\circ=\frac{AC}{5 }[/tex]

[tex]$\Rightarrow \sin 35^\circ\times 5=AC[/tex]

[tex]$\Rightarrow 0.573\times 5=AC[/tex]

[tex]$\Rightarrow 2.865=AC[/tex]

⇒ AC = 2.87

Hence the length of AC = 2.87.
