Using the quadratic formula to solve x2 = 5 – X, what are the values of x?

x^2 = 5 - x

x^2 + x - 5 = 0

-1 +/-[tex] \frac{ \sqrt{ {1}^{2} - 4(1 \times - 5) } }{2} [/tex]

x = (1 + √21) / 2

x = (1 - √21) / 2
