Answer:

The most significant contribution which was made to the events leading up to the Wounded Knee massacre is the ghost dance which was pioneered by Wovoka during which the soldiers of the US army was claiming. The claim made by them was that God appeared in the disguise of Native American and had helped of what there had been earlier. There was also forced assimilation which influenced the native American culture and destroyed it.
