For this case we have the following expression:

[tex]a + b[/tex]

We must evaluate the expression to:

[tex]a = 2\\b = 3[/tex]

Substituting the values in the expression we have:

[tex]2 + 3[/tex]

Equal signs are added and the same sign is placed.

So:

[tex]2 + 3 = 5[/tex]

Finally, the value of the expression is 5.

Answer:

[tex]a + b = 5[/tex]for[tex]a = 2[/tex] and[tex]b = 3[/tex]
