John Locke believed that everyone had the natural right to life liberty and property.  This is used today in the Declaration of Independence and in the fifth and fourteenth amendment.

Natural rights are rights we have to live normal lives like for example when someone owns property no one else can take it away or take over. I hope this helps and makes sense :)
