Jamie has 8/10 of a candy bar leftover.He wants to split it into 1/3 pieces.How many 1/3 can he make?

I believe if I'm understanding this right you can split this candy bar into 2 thirds. If you have 8 pieces left, you can get 2 groups of three out of 8.

Let 'x' represent the number of 1/3 pieces.

(1/3)x <= 8/10

then you find the inequality.

x <= 2.4


Since we are looking for integer solution we have:

Jamie can make two 1/3 pieces.
