Nacirema ("American" spelled backwards) is a term used in anthropology and sociology in relation to aspects of the behavior and society of citizens of the United States of America.
The listener is also known as the witchdoctor listens as the patient tells them his or her troubles and fears. In other words compared to American culture this is known as a psychiatrist.
