Our problem becomes 4x-1=3x+6 To solve this, we need to get all of the x's on one side, we are going to subtract 3x to do that. We end up with:

x-1=6

Now we just need to get rid of the -1 and we're home free. We get rid of that -1 we just add one

x=7
