The Point at which the Function g(t) = 2t - 6 crosses x axis is where g(t) = 0

Because on x-axis : y - coordinate is zero

As g(t) is the y - coordinate and t is the x - coordinate :

⇒ g(t) = 0

⇒ 2t - 6 = 0

⇒ 2t = 6

⇒ t = 3
