Fighting for freedom implies that there is something readily oppressing you, like slavery, incarceration, or even an illness or restrictive mental condition. You can be free from any of those things listed above and still not have any rights. Fighting for rights is fighting for a 'privilege' that you believe should be a right, like voting, free speech, and the right to bear arms, you know that type of stuff.
