4/7x - 3 = 6      |add 3 to both sides

4/7x = 9        |multiply both sides by 7

4x = 63      |divide both sides by 4

x = 15.75

(4/7)*x-3=6

(4/7)*x=6+3

(4/7)*x=9

(4x/7)=9 (Multiply terms on both sides of equation by 7)

4x=63

x=63/4
